We will remind the public that DEI statements and cultural training, while encouraged, do not translate to self reflection and systematic and institutional change; nor do they establish belonging and true economic justice. Equity requires personal institutional recognition and accountability, intentional and non performative plans, implementation, and systems maintenance.
We will speak out against racism, xenophobia, misogyny, homophobia, and transphobia. We will embrace, love, and lift up others. We will work tirelessly to ensure that these communities have the opportunities and protections they deserve. Together, we can create a more just, inclusive, and equitable society where every individual can thrive and contribute to the betterment of our district.
